Functions of the PROsine
2.0 Inverter / Charger:
Inverter Function:
The PROsine 2.0 uses the DC power from a
battery to provide up to 2000 watts of continuous AC power, and up to 4500 watts of AC
power to start loads such as air conditioners and fridges. The true sine wave output is
the same as or better than the waveform supplied by your local electric utility. It will
run standard AC electrical equipment exactly the way it was designed to run without adding
wear and tear. In meeting the FCC Class B EMI standard, it is likely that PROsine 2.0 will
not cause interference problems with other equipment.
Charger Function:
The 100-amp multistage charger keeps your
batteries in top condition (even when they are not in use), maximizing the life and
performance of your batteries. PROsine 2.0 uses microprocessor control and comes
preprogrammed with charge cycles for most common name brand AGM, Gel or Lead Acid
batteries. With this accurate control, PROsine 2.0 precisely regulates the voltage and
current delivered to the battery, bringing the battery to its peak charge quickly, without
risk of overcharging.
PROsine is also power factor corrected so
it doesn't draw excessive power and trip breakers in order to provide a 100-amp charge. It
is able to maintain a 100-amp charge rate even with an input voltage as low as 90V.
Advanced power sharing features give your AC loads priority over battery charging. Manual
equalization lets you recondition lead acid batteries whenever you need to.
Automatic Transfer Switch:
The integral 30-amp relay has two
functions. When utility AC power fails or is disconnected from the unit, a quick 16
millisecond (typical) transfer takes place and the PROsine 2.0 Inverter/Charger begins
delivering AC power to the loads. When utility AC becomes present again, the control
circuit waits for 8 seconds, during which time the unit verifies the stability of the AC
source and synchronizes the inverter to the AC source for a smooth, seamless transfer back
to utility power. Even when the utility AC power is good, the microprocessor inside the
PROsine ensure that the inverter will be synchronized with the line to provide a smooth
transfer if/when the utility fails.
Included accessories include:

LCD Display panel
The LCD Display Panel lets you configure and control your PROsine 2.0 and monitor the
status of both your PROsine 2.0 Inverter/Charger unit and your electrical system. It
mounts conveniently into an instrument panel or other a location of your choice and is
included with the PROsine 2.0.

Battery Temperature Sensor
The included Battery Temperature Sensor lets the unit adjust the charge formula in real
time according to the actual battery temperature to ensure that batteries are fully, but
not overcharged, even when the temperature fluctuates.
PROsine 2.0 Product
Features:
- True Sine Wave Output (<2%THD):
- A smooth, step-free waveform
delivering dependable and reliable electrical power for even the most demanding and
sensitive of loads.
Super-Quick Transfer:
- A typical detect and transfer time of
16 milliseconds ensures critical loads stay powered up when AC power drops away or fails.
-
- Multistage Charger with Built-in Charge
Formulas:
- Can be set for any of 21 lead-acid battery
types and delivers 100 amps of charging current for quick, accurate battery charging. Plus
you can custom configure the charging to meet the unique needs of your new or specialized
batteries.
Power Factor Corrected:
- Allows operation from smaller
generators as the full 100 amps of charging current requires only 15 Amps of AC input
power (at 120V). It will not draw excessive power and trip breakers in order to provide a
100-amp charge. It is able to maintain a 100-amp charge rate even with an input voltage as
low as 90V.
- Series Stackable:
- As your power needs grow, you can
connect two PROsine 2.0 inverter/chargers in series to create a split phase 120/240VAC
system. Both of these inverter/chargers can be connected to operate from a single (but
larger) battery bank, and will work in tandem to provide 200-amp charging.
-
- Advanced Power Sharing:
- When charging your batteries, PROsine
2.0 will reduce its current draw (and charge rate) when you operate AC loads to keep
within the limits of your AC input breaker rating. The current that is left over is
available for charging the batteries. This ensures that your batteries are recharged even
if you are running AC equipment at the same time you are charging.
- Dead Battery Charging:
- PROsine 2.0 can recharge extremely depleted
batteries, even if the voltage is at or near 0V.
- High Frequency Switching:
- Results in a lighter weight and
compact design for ease of installation. Actual product weight - a remarkable 24 lbs. (11
kg)!
